  3. "nourish, and by the exercise of our thoughts seek for the proper "

  6. "1. The first line, undivided, (seems to be thus addressed), 'You "
  7. "leave your efficacious tortoise, and look at me till you lower jaw "
  8. "hangs down.' There will be evil. "

  10. "2. The second line, divided, shows one looking downwards for "
  11. "nourishment, which is contrary to what is proper; or seeking it from "
  12. "the height (above), advance towards which will lead to evil. "

  14. "3. The third line, divided, shows one acting contrary to the method "
  15. "of nourishing.  However firm he may be, there will be evil.  For ten "
  16. "years let him not take any action, (for) it will not be in any way "
  17. "advantageous. "

  19. "4. The fourth line, divided, shows one looking downwards for (the "
  20. "power to) nourish.  There will be good fortune.  Looking with a "
  21. "tigers downward unwavering glare, and with his desire that impels "
  22. "him to spring after spring, he will fall into no error. "

  24. "5. The fifth line, divided, shows one acting contrary to what is "
  25. "regular and proper; but if he abide in firmness, there will be good "
  26. "fortune.  He should not, (however, try to) cross the great stream. "

  28. "6. The sixth line, undivided, shows him from whom comes the "
  29. "nourishing.  His position is perilous, but there will be good "
  30. "fortune.  It will be advantageous to cross the great stream. "

  32. " Thunder at the base of the mountain brings conditions favourable for"
  33. "growth.  The wise man shows moderation in his eating, and drinking,"
  34. "thus providing a healthy base for his words and deeds, which also"
  35. "reflect his tranquil and moderate attitudes."
